SAB Subgroups

SAR Subgroup

The SAR subgroup is responsible for commissioning and monitoring Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and other multi-agency reviews in situations where it is identified that there may be lessons to be learnt and potential improvement actions to improve partnership working.

Quality Assurance Subgroup

The purpose of the Quality Assurance subgroup is to monitor, evaluate and report on performance across organisations with regards to Adult Safeguarding. This includes multi-agency data gathering and analysis, undertaking multi-agency audits and sharing and disseminating recommendations and learning arising from these.

Learning and Development Subgroup

The purpose of the Learning and Development subgroup is to coordinate the multi-agency training strategy and to promote the development of safeguarding adults training provision. This will include considering learning and development recommendations from SAB activities such as multi-agency reviews, audits, events and self-assessment processes and the facilitation and commissioning of appropriate learning and development resources in response.

Strategic Leadership Group

This group is comprised of senior representatives from each of the three statutory partners, the Chair of each of the subgroups and the Independent Chair of the Board. The group meets before each full board meeting, to share safeguarding update and developments from across the system and the subgroups in preparing the agenda for the meetings.
