We are pleased to say that Seona Douglas has been appointed as the permanent Independent Chair of the Brighton & Hove Safeguarding Adults Board.
Seona has been chairing the BHSAB on an interim basis for the last few months and she brings a wealth of adult safeguarding experience to the role. She is a qualified social worker and her most recent role was as the Executive Director of Social Care and Health with Reading Borough Council. Since 2017 she has been the regional and national chair of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) Safeguarding Policy Network. Seona is also the Independent Chair of the Safeguarding Adults Boards for East Sussex, Leicester City and Leicestershire and Rutland.
We look forward to building on the work already undertaken with Seona and continuing the development of the BHSAB.
