Partners in Care and Health (The Local Government Association and Association of Directors of Adult Social Services) are delivering a webinar on Tacking Discriminatory Abuse through Collaboration and Innovation on Thursday 27th February between 11.00am – 1.00pm.

This webinar will explore the practical application of the Discriminatory Abuse Self-Assessment Tool and highlight innovative approaches to fostering shared understandings of discriminatory abuse among local partners.

There will be a focus on person-centred approaches, and the adoption of culturally informed practices that consider diverse factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, faith, homelessness, substance misuse and socioeconomic status. The session also explores how shared insights and data can help improve outcomes for adults experiencing discriminatory abuse but also to consider how approaches to reduce discriminatory practice.

Additionally, the Radical Safeguarding Toolkit – Homelessness will be introduced as a lens with which discriminatory abuse can be viewed, showcasing how social justice campaigns influence safeguarding practices to challenge discrimination and inequality.
