Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Audit Briefings
The Brighton & Hove Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) conducted a multi-agency audit to assess how well staff in all agencies apply the Mental Capacity Act Code of Practice. Sexual Abuse Multi-agency Audit
Brighton & Hove Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) conducted a multi-agency audit to examine safeguarding responses to four adults who had experienced sexual assault or abuse. The audit group has produced a learning briefing setting out the key findings, recommendations and learning points from the audit. All staff working with adults with care and support needs are encouraged to read the briefing and discuss the issues raised in their teams.
Domestic Violence & Abuse (DVA) Audit Briefing
In autumn 2016 the Quality Assurance Group of the Safeguarding Adults Board conducted a multi-agency audit on Domestic violence & abuse (DVA) to look at how well agencies across the partnership are working together to support vulnerable adults who are victims of DVA. Homeless Audit Briefings
Following a local Safeguarding Adult Review (SAR), and a 2015/16 review of homelessness deaths, the Safeguarding Adults Board brought together professionals from agencies across the city to look closely at the services and interventions provided to four people currently experiencing homelessness. This multi-agency audit identified examples of existing good practice and explored the challenges and difficulties faced by agencies when supporting homeless individuals.

Policy & Procedures Briefings
The Sussex Safeguarding Adults Policy & Procedures set out the approach taken to adult safeguarding across Sussex. The Procedures explain how agencies and individuals should work together to put the Sussex Safeguarding Adults Policy into practice. They have been updated in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and the Care and Support Statutory Guidance, and should be read in conjunction with these, and have been updated to take into account lessons learnt from Safeguarding Adults Reviews, audits and practice. These Procedures represent the standards for good practice in adult safeguarding in Sussex and have been endorsed by Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex Safeguarding Adults Boards.
